Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition 1958 Precision Bass Closet Classic White Blonde.

This is an incredible Limited Edition 1958 P-Bass Closet Classic in White Blonde, Maple neck. 100% All original in Excellent (near Mint) condition but since it’s a relic’d instrument we would never be able to state as “Mint”. It comes with its Certificate of Authenticity and complete case candy (sealed envelope warranty registration card, sealed cloth, sealed picks, dealer spec sheet, all tags, thumbrest, case keys and original bridge and pickup covers. It comes with its original blonde tolex case, which is not very common.

Featherweight: 8.0 Lbs, perfectly balanced.

It’s a very unique Custom Shop P-Bass blonde with Ash body, anodized gold pickguard, ’57-’58 Pickups with 3rd string (A) raised pole and all Maple neck, one of the most desired combinations, a true vintage reissue with all the period correct features, plus a very modest relic. The Closet Classic are part of the Time Machine Series, which means it comes with a light relic, recreating an instrument that has been gently played and kept inside its case for years in a closet. It shows the classic checking and very minimum signs of usage over the Nitrocellulose lacquer finish and hardware (same as the Journeyman series). Despite of the obvious “imperfections” associated with the relic job, the instrument is almost entirely free from blemishes and other visual defects and has been played or used with the utmost care.

As usual on most Custom Shop, the neck is made of Quartesawn Maple, with a beautiful flame, one piece with the walnut skunk stripe on the back. It’s a super smooth, Soft “V” 1.75″ nut width. 7.25″ radius and .790” neck thickness at 1st fret (which means not too chunky) with reverse tuners and spaghetti logo. The neck is perfectly straight with truss rod fully functional. It’s strung with a fresh set of D’addario Nickel .45 – .100″ and it plays like a dream.
